So spice things up a little with a little sit here and a little “you don’t exist there

Creating A Command

A good way to stop your dog from jumping, it by voicing a command. Any command that your dog knows as get down. This command is to be used when your dog jumps up on either furniture or a person. This command will be understood as the off command.

When your dog jumps up there is another training technique that you can use. Say the word off and bend your knee up and into your dogs chest, this will push him off. This way the dog associates the command with the action together. The dog might not understand the command right away, but with a little practice he’ll get it. As with all commands it will take consistency from the leader to help eliminate this bad behavior.
